This excerpt is from a piece entitled Not Yet remembered, after the Harold Budd/Brian Eno ambient composition of the same name. The song, in relation to its title, made me think of the process our minds go through when we are trying to think of something but it hasn’t come to us yet. That face or that name or that moment is still being reconstructed in the mind and it is not quite remembered yet.
I made this in May of this year but as a result of thoughtlessness I found myself with neither a hard copy of it nor the editing program file. So i have gone back to the original DV tape to try to reconstruct the video; partially from memory but also with a fresh perspective. It’s quite an apt metaphor don’t you think?
